Bilateral Meeting between the NAIGF and the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Administrative Modernization
After the 8th Annual Meeting of the North Africa Internet Governance Forum (NAIGF-24) from October 29-31, and the Internet Governance capacity-building program (NASIG-24) held from October 26-28 in Nouakchott, Mauritania, hosted by the Digital Agency of the State (AN-ETAT), a significant bilateral meeting took place with His Excellency Ahmed Salem Ould Abdeh, Minister of Digital Transformation and Administrative Modernization.
The meeting provided an opportunity to review key highlights and outcomes of NAIGF-24 and NASIG-24. His Excellency commended the initiatives and proposals presented throughout the forum, expressing the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with NAIGF, the Mauritanian government, and the Digital Agency of the State. His Excellency emphasized a shared vision for promoting digital governance and advancing digital transformation across the region.
The NAIGF President extended his heartfelt gratitude to the Mauritanian government for its warm reception, generous hospitality, and the exceptional organization of the events, underlining the importance of Mauritania’s role in fostering a collaborative environment for regional digital governance efforts.
The meeting was attended by HE. Ahmed Salem Ould Abdeh, Minister of Digital Transformation and Administrative Modernization; Mr. Ahmed Farag, NAIGF President; Mr. Baida Sgheir, Director General of the Digital Agency of the State; Ms. Aicha Jeridi, NAIGF vice president; Ms. Fatima Boubout, Deputy Director General of the Agency; and Mr. Abdallah Abbah, Executive Coordinator of the NAIGF Secretariat.
