It was hosted by the Mauritanian Government and opened by his excellency Ould Salem, Mauritanian Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research &amp; ICTs.<br \/><br \/>The school was organized in 6 sessions over 2 full days. The lectures were about:<br \/>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u2022 Internet Governance: History, Principles and objectives<br \/>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u2022 Realizing the Digital transformation<br \/>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u2022 Data Protection and Privacy<br \/>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u2022 Cybersecurity in post COVID context<br \/>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u2022 Block-chain and Crypto Future<br \/>The sixth session was A practicum one for the learners to present their projects<br \/><br \/>The lecturers were Experts in their field from North Africa and, Sub-Saharan Africa and Europe <br \/><br \/>222 persons registered for the SIG from the 7 countries of North Africa, namely Mauritania, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt and Sudan.<br \/><br \/>93 attended the NASIG 2020<br \/>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u2022 23 attended the full 6 sessions<br \/>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u2022 11 attended 5 sessions<br \/>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u2022 4 attended 4 sessions<br \/>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u2022 11 attended 3 sessions<br \/>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u2022 14 attended 2 sessions<br \/>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u2022 30 attended 1 session only<br \/><br \/>An attendance certificate has been given to 49 among the participants who attended 3 sessions and more.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NASIG 2020 Report Due to COVID 19 pandemic, the North African School on Internet Governance was held virtually at the beginning of 2021 rather than during 2020, precisely from 3 to 6 February 2021.
