Report NASIG 2025<\/p>\n
On the sidelines of the North Africa IGF\u2019s annual meeting (NAIGF-25), The North Africa School on Internet
\nGovernance Forum (NASIG-25) was generously hosted by Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative
\nReform of the Kingdom of Morocco, from 21\u201323 November 2025 at the Rive Hotel in Rabat.
\nThe NASIG-25 aimed to enhance knowledge and develop participants\u2019 skills on Internet governance,
\npreparing them for effective participation in national, regional, and global Internet governance processes .
\nThis year the program focused on two main tracks, Foundations and Regional Realities, which introduced
\nthe core concepts of the evolution Internet governance, international and regional structures, multistakeholder<\/p>\n
participation mechanisms, and how to ensure effective engagement. It also explored the
\nimpact of digital governance on economic development and the opportunities provided by digital
\ntransformation in the region . Second tack, focused on Artificial Intelligence, Security, Rights, and
\nInfrastructure addresses the ethics and applications of emerging technologies, digital sovereignty, data
\nlocalization as a pillar of digital security, and evolving cybersecurity threats in North Africa. It also covered
\nthe digital identity, trust frameworks, and their role in supporting reliable digital systems, along with digital
\ncontent issues including users\u2019 rights and responsibilities.
\nIn addition, the program emphasized the
\nprinciples and practical approach of the multistakeholder<\/p>\n
model, highlighting effective
\nmechanisms for cooperation among
\ngovernments, the private sector, civil society,
\nthe technical community, and academia.
\nThrough interactive discussions and practical
\nexchanges, participants explored ways to
\nenhance inclusive collaboration and contribute
\nto a resilient and sustainable digital ecosystem.
\nNASIG-25 featured a diverse set of training
\nsessions delivered by distinguished regional
\nand international experts and academics.<\/p>\n
