NASIG is designed to empower a new generation of leaders, researchers, policy advocates, and technical innovators across North Africa with the knowledge, skills, and networks needed to engage effectively in national, regional, and global Internet governance processes.<\/p><p data-path-to-node=\"7\">The School aims to bridge the knowledge gap, foster multistakeholder collaboration, and ensure that regional priorities\u2014such as digital sovereignty, cybersecurity, AI governance, and digital rights\u2014are reflected in international digital policy frameworks.<\/p><h3 data-path-to-node=\"9\">History &amp; Growth<\/h3><p data-path-to-node=\"10\">First launched to strengthen regional expertise, NASIG has successfully trained over 200 fellows and alumni across all seven North African countries: <b data-path-to-node=\"10\" data-index-in-node=\"150\">Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Sudan, and Tunisia<\/b>.<\/p><ul data-path-to-node=\"11\"><li><p data-path-to-node=\"11,0,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"11,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Multi-year Impact:<\/b> Past editions (including NASIG-24 and NASIG-25) have served as dynamic platforms combining core theoretical foundations with practical exercises.<\/p><\/li><li><p data-path-to-node=\"11,1,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"11,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Alumni Contributions:<\/b> NASIG graduates have gone on to lead national IGF initiatives and currently serve as active members of the NAIGF Multistakeholder Advisory Group (MAG).<\/p><\/li><li><p data-path-to-node=\"11,2,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"11,2,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Distinguished Experts:<\/b> Training sessions are delivered by world-class regional and international experts from ICANN, the UN IGF Secretariat, UNESCO, GFCE, civil society, and leading regional universities.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><h3 data-path-to-node=\"13\">Curriculum Tracks &amp; Format<\/h3><p data-path-to-node=\"14\">NASIG offers a comprehensive, intensive curriculum structured around key interactive tracks:<\/p><ol start=\"1\" data-path-to-node=\"15\"><li><p data-path-to-node=\"15,0,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"15,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Foundations &amp; Regional Realities:<\/b> Internet governance fundamentals, global and regional structures, the multistakeholder model, and the socio-economic impact of digital transformation in North Africa.<\/p><\/li><li><p data-path-to-node=\"15,1,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"15,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Emerging Tech, Security &amp; Rights:<\/b> Ethics and applications of Artificial Intelligence, data localization, digital sovereignty, cybersecurity trends, digital identity, and online rights &amp; responsibilities.<\/p><\/li><li><p data-path-to-node=\"15,2,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"15,2,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Practicum &amp; Applied Learning:<\/b> A hands-on practicum where fellows analyze real-world policy scenarios, debate emerging digital challenges, and present concrete policy recommendations to the broader NAIGF community.<\/p><\/li><\/ol><h3 data-path-to-node=\"17\">Applications &amp; Registration (NASIG 2026)<\/h3><ul data-path-to-node=\"18\"><li><p data-path-to-node=\"18,0,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"18,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Upcoming Edition:<\/b> NASIG 2026 will take place in <b data-path-to-node=\"18,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"48\">Morocco<\/b> from <b data-path-to-node=\"18,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"68\">8 to 10 October 2026<\/b>.<\/p><\/li><li><p data-path-to-node=\"18,1,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"18,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Who Can Apply:<\/b> Open to participants from governments, civil society, private sector, technical community, media, and academia across North Africa.
